Ingredients:
- Eggs – 8
- White sugar – 2 cups
- Butter or ghee – ½ cup
- Cardamom – 4
- Saffron – ¼ tsp2 tbs
- Almonds (chopped) -3 tbs
Preparation:
- Beat the egg whites and yolks separately until they are smooth and fluffy.
- Mix the sugar, egg whites and yolks.
- Now mix the butter with the egg mixture.
- Put the mixture on a shallow pan on medium heat. Stir the batter continuously with a wooden spoon or they will get burnt on the bottom.
- Add the cardamom and saffron and stir well.
- Slowly the mixture will get thick but don’t let them become chunks.
- Pour them on a greased plate or baking pan. Sprinkle the chopped almonds on top.
- Let it dry for 15-20 minutes.
- Now cut them into squares with a knife. Enjoy!
