Ingredients:
- Broccoli – 2 (cut into florets)
- Shrimp (washed and deveined) – 10 to 12
Preparation:
- Heat the oil in a wok. Add the onion and fry them
for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and the broccoli and stir.
- Put in the shrimps and ginger. Fry them all for 2
minutes.
- Add the green chilies, salt and the black pepper;
stir.
- Now add the soya sauce and stir for 1 minute; add
sugar.
- Serve with hot steamed rice.
Ingredients:
- Chickpeas – 4 cups (soaked overnight)
- Onion (finely chopped) – 1 cup
- Green chilies (finely chopped) – ½ cup
- Chaat spices – 1 to 1 ½ tbs
For the tamarind sauce:
- Dried red chili flakes – 1 tbs
Preparation:
- Boil the chickpeas with enough water; it may take
1-2 hours. Boil the potatoes and cut them into small pieces.
- For the tamarind sauce, soak the tamarind in 1 cup
of water for some time until it becomes really soft. Now mix it well with water
and strain it on a sieve. Mix all the spices and oil with the tamarind water
and put it on stove on medium heat. After 20 minutes when it will get thicker,
remove from the stove.
- Combine the chickpeas, potatoes, onion, green
chilies along with the spices and ¼ of
the tamarind sauce in a bowl. Mix them well and serve them with rest of the
tamarind sauce.
Ingredients:
- White bread slices – 2 slices
- Green chilies (chopped) – 2
- Sharp cheddar cheese (shredded) – 1 cup
Preparation:
- Cut the bread slices into small squares.
- Sprinkle cheese and green chilies on top.
- Toast them on the toaster until they are melted.
Serve them with afternoon tea!

- Worcestershire sauce – 1 /2 tbs
Preparation:
- Heat the oil and put the onion and garlic. Fry them
for some time and add the vegetable, salt, black pepper, and ginger.
- Stir them and add the green chilies, soya sauce and
worcestershire sauce.
- Keep stirring for 5 minutes and then add sugar.
- Serve with steamed rice.
Ingredients:
- Red onion (finely chopped) – 2 tbs
- Green chilies (finely chopped) – 2
- Black pepper (ground) – 1 tsp
Preparation:
- Chop the eggs when they are cold. Make sure to boil
them hard.
- Add all the ingredients with the eggs and mix them
well to make a spread.
- Lightly, toast the bread slices. Spread the egg salad
to make the sandwich and enjoy!
